If you’re over 50 or a fan of musical theater, you likely remember the upbeat song “I Feel Pretty” from West Side Story. The lyrics celebrate feeling beautiful and confident, with lines like: “I feel pretty, oh, so pretty! I feel pretty and witty and bright! And I pity any girl who isn’t me tonight.”The character Maria expresses her joy and self-assurance as she sings about her new boyfriend.

It’s hard not to smile when you hear this song; it captures the essence of feeling good about oneself. When we have friends and positive experiences, we naturally want to share that happiness with others. This desire to connect and share is one reason why social media has flourished.

Online, you can present yourself however you choose—looking pretty, handsome, funny, or cute—and share the good things happening in your life with friends. When you turn this social interaction into a business opportunity, you’re tapping into the Law of Attraction marketing.

Approximately 80% of all internet users engage with platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media sites. That’s a staggering statistic and a clear indication that traditional media is no longer the only player in the marketing game. Social media allows you to connect directly with current and potential customers without anyone misinterpreting your message. In essence, social media represents the Law of Attraction marketing at its finest.
